OSPF Routes

I'm having a bit of mare advertising some routes from one 3750 L3 Switch to another 3750 using OSPF.

Both routers below are linked together via 6 foot Cat 6 cable. This interswitch connectivity uses 802.1q trunking. Local routing is fine.

Router 1

network 10.251.10.0 0.0.0.255 area 0

network 10.251.20.0.0.0.0.255 area 0

network 10.250.1.0 0.0.0.3 area 0

Router 2

network 10.251.10.0 0.0.0.255 area 0

network 10.251.20.0.0.0.0.255 area 0

Remote router A

network 10.250.10.0 0.0.0.255 area 0

network 10.250.20.0 0.0.0.255 area 0

network 10.250.1.0 0.0.0.3 area 0

Router 1 learns of the routes from Router A. But these remote routes are not passed onto Router 2.

I have performed a Clear IP route * as well as a clear ip ospf process

both sites use OSPF process No 1 and all networks are in Area 0

Does any one have any advice ?

Thanks

Re: OSPF Routes

Have you use any debug command?, Try to use "debug ip ospf" and clear the ospf process again to see what is happening with the debug active.

Re: OSPF Routes

Hi

Can you post the config of all the routers here with the interface level configs included?

also can you post out the output of show ip ospf neighbor taken from all the routers ?

Re: OSPF Routes

Its okay, I have just seen the error of my ways and it was so obvious I'm embarrassed to say what it was...

Thanks to those who helped me..

Goes away all red faced....

Re: OSPF Routes

Make sure none of your connecting interfaces are "passive" . I believe passive interface is on by default and you have to "no passive" the interface or the layer 3 SVI for the interfaces you want to pass routes . It should tell you using "show ip ospf interface " command . I guess my other question would be if you are trunking between them why do you need to route , all your networks are available across that trunk .
