I am hoping someone would be so kind and knowledgeable as to please explain what the following error implies. This has shown up in the logs of two newly installed 3750X edge switch stacks. Some preliminary information:
Hardware: 2 stacks of 3 – Cisco 3750X-48P
VLANs configured: Data 67 & Voice 1067
NortelAvaya VoIP sets configured via LLDP-MED
ERROR LOG MESSAGES:
Main Switch Stack
000050: Apr 4 19:58:33.999 MDT: %BIT-4-OUTOFRANGE: bit 4096 is not in the expected range of 0 to 4095 (Main Stack-3)
Traceback is usually a sign of memory leak or some sort of memory problem. Since these devices are so new and under warranty, open a ticket with TAC, send them the error message and have them replace the switches.
