over heat on tengig x2 module on 4507R switch

i have on 4507 core switch ..with two x2 tengig uplinks...on of these x2 modules exceeded the temp as shown above..

i have removed this x2 and i put it in a free slot on the switch and the heat now is down and the switch is working properly.

so what was the problem?
