Packet Drop on WAN side interface - CISCO2911

Hi,

I have following configuration on my WAN side interface. Whenever I ping the directly connected IP to this interface it doesn't drop any packet but anything beyond it drops.

interface GigabitEthernet0/1

description *** BDSL ***

bandwidth 1024

ip address 10.246.xx.xx 255.255.255.248

ip nbar protocol-discovery

duplex auto

speed auto

no cdp enable

end

I can see the same number of broadcast as multicasts and the same number is dropped on this interface as unknown protocol.

GigabitEthernet0/1 is up, line protocol is up
