Partition in a single switch

Hi,

This is Steven from Australia.i am using the cisco 2900 catalyst switch XL series.I have a small LAN network in my home.Is it possible to create a different network (private and public IP )in a single switch.its very interesting problem.past one week i am tried this problem.if anyone help to this issue.

Yes, create 2 different VLAN's and put the ports in the vlan's.

suppose VLAN 20 - for the systems with public IP's

VLAN 30 - for the systems with private IP's.
