Password Recovery for IAD 2400

I am trying normal password recovery for (cisco routers) for IAD 2400 but iam unable to get in rommon mode ? Help please.

Resolved.I was plugged in to Aux port! changed it to console , now everything is ok.

Hi,

Following steps should work

1.Press the Break key during the first 60 seconds while the system is starting up

2.Use confreg 0x2142

3.reset

4.It will boot without the startup config

5.enable

6.copy start run

7.config t

8.enable secret

9.config-register 0x2102

10.write mem

Is there a way to bypass or recover the password if the "Password recovery functionality is disabled"?

I don't see a battery or nvram chip that is easily removed.

I and new to routers and switches but this set of commands has helped me on every used piece if cisco equipment I have used so far. I owe you big time I will share it with the CCENT class at West Valley Occupational Center.
