PBR Support for Multiple Tracking Options

I have a 4848 switch and want to implement policy routing with tracking.

In feature navigator it is stated that ios (for example cat4500-entservicesk9-mz.12.2-52.SG) support

PBR Support for Multiple Tracking Options but actually there is no 'set ip next-hop verify-availability'

command, just 'set ip next-hop'. I`am confused.

Re: PBR Support for Multiple Tracking Options

Hello Roman,

12.2(52)SG config guide has a chapter for PBR and there is no mention of tracking.

see

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/catalyst4500/12.2/52sg/configuration/guide/pbroute.html#wp1026289

(config guides are in common with C4500)

Hope to help

Re: PBR Support for Multiple Tracking Options

Hi Giuseppe.

Yes, this is what I mean. There is no mention in guide. however this possibility is in the list of features in Feature Navigator for the image.

Re: PBR Support for Multiple Tracking Options

Unfortunately it would not be the first time the Feature Navigator is inaccurate.

If the commands are not available and they are not mentioned in the Configruation Guide or Command Reference, then the FN is erroneous.

If, however, the commands are mentioned in Configuration Guide but are not available in the IOS, when you try to configure, then it could be a bug in the IOS. In that case, open a TAC case for verification.

HTH.
