PBX Mgmt Application Uses TCP Port 60000

An application to manage the company PBX (MATWorx) works fine from the legacy flat VLAN, but does not connect to the PBX when the workstation is connected via the newly created test VLAN.

-------------------------------

Current Test Environment:

Cat6509 sup720's and IOS 12.x

Legacy VLAN = y

Cat3560 at distribution with PC connected

Remote VLAN = x

PBX is on VLAN = y

Application works on any "y" VLAN ports (core or remote switch), but application fails to connect on "x" VLAN ports

Trunks allow all at present and approx 30 other apps all work fine - the only different thing seems to be that this application requires TCP port 60000.

I am not sure if I have to open this port through an ACL or something or if the port number is just a red herring?

Any ideas?
