I have a scenario whereby I want to police traffic on a certain VLAN passing through a 3750-X two-switch-stack, either at layer-2 or layer-3. The traffic will come into the switch stack via an etherchannel trunk, terminating on both stack members. Ideally the switches should remain layer-2 but I can use SVIs if need be.
I am aware it is possible to police on an SVI using hierarchical policy-maps and VLAN based QoS, BUT I can't see a way of doing this when I have two switches in a stack, and the traffic I want to police comes into the switch stack via an etherchannel trunk that is terminated on both stack members.
