Physical Connectivity for Stack Switch

Hi,

I have a stck switch consisting of two Cisco 3750-24S L2 switches and designed as Access Layer Switch. I need to connect those switches to one Distrbution/Core Switch which is Cisco 3750G-12S.

How to physically connect the two stack switches to the Distrbution/Core switch? Shall I connect only the master stack switch to the distrbution or I should connect both members?

Also, if you can provide good document for that it would help me.

Thanks

You need to use a cross stack etherchannel, this will give you redundancy should either 3750 fail. Have a read of this document which has good examples and should contain the solution you need.

I second Mel's post - using an EtherChannel also allows you to make use of both links (or however many interfaces are in the channel) whereas using multple L2 links without EtherChannel would result in Spanning Tree blocking.

Therefore more bandwidth as well as more resiliency!

It is also worth reviewing this document to understand the default load-balancing behaviour and how it can be tuned:
