Physically connected machines

Hello,

I want to know about the different ways through which I can get the detail of a Physically connected machine to my switch.

Like #show cdp neighbor detail

and if CDP is disable in that case how can i find connected machine/device.

Rahul

With CDP you will be able to discover only cisco devices, the other info you can get is ip and mac address details if the machine/device is connected to the network and up.

I dont think we will be able

I dont think we will be able to get any information of non cisco devices connected to switch with show commands, but still if you research on wireshark you can trace the deices, by snooping at the switch interface connected to device.
