Ping Q's

Hi all,

I have some Ping Q's..

What switch must I use to show the packet loss percentages on each ping request?

What are the ping swithces for cisco routers(ie ping -s, ping -a, etc) and what do they do? For example, how can I increase the size by using a switch, etc.

What key combination can cancel a ping request?

Thanks

Re: Ping Q's

1) You don't need a switch for loss %. Information is given by default at the end of the ping.

2) The following are the switches available in IOS

data ........... specify data pattern

df-bit ......... enable do not fragment bit in IP header

repeat ......... specify repeat count

size .......... specify datagram size

source ......... specify source address or name

timeout ........ specify timeout interval

validate ........ validate reply data

Example,

ping 2.2.2.2 data FFFF df-bit repeat 100 size 1500 source s1/0 timeout 5 validate

3) You can cancel a ping by hitting CRTL+SHIT+6
