poe is not working on WS-X6748-SFP.

Hi All,

I am trying to connect poe device on WS-X6748-SFP port, it showing inline power not supported.

It means this module not support POE or I have to enable something...

Appreciate if any one can help on this.. Thanks!

Hi,

Fiber modules (SFP) do not support POE.  Only copper modules do.

for example this card support POE:

WS-X6548-GE-45AF

Won't work because a GLC-T SFP module doesn't support PoE either.

The only way to get the WAP working is to either use a power injector or a power pack/power brick.
