POE problem on a WS-X4548-GB-RJ45V line card in a 4510

Group.

I have a recent problem in which the slot will not send out the initial voltage to each port. I have working phones with PCs attaching working at the moment but it seems as if they're dropping off one by one. I'm able to plug a PC into the port and it works just fine, so i know it's a PoE issue but i'm not sure what the cause is. In order to fix this i have been moving users to another slot on the chassis. This is quickly becoming a capacity issue since we're using CER as well. Has anyone else seen this type of issue on these line cards?

fix?

Hello Mike,

do you see any log messages for POE events in the switch ?

what you see in

sh power output ?

If I remember correctly we had to replace a linecard of this model two mounths ago on a C4506 for the same reason.

Hope to help

There hasn't been any recorded events in the logs.

Here are the inline totals for that module.

Totals: 24 on 343.6 305.8

We have 24 working and prob 10 ports have been moved off. I'm thinking of just replacing the slot as well.
