POE switch capabe of powering 9971+cam+thin client

Hi,

Which smaller POE switch is capable of powering a 9971 IP phone with a cam and a think client attached?

Hello,

This IP Phone supports class 3 and 4 PoE. So requires up to 15.4 W. SO even 2960 and 2960-s can provide it. The thing is that it might not able to support these IP Phones on all ports due to total power limitation. So CDP will check how much this phone need on particular port and provide that power - adding more these phones we can run out of all switch power quickly.

So considering the switch we also need to consider how many Phones of this kind we will have and if switch has total amount of power susceptible for all.

Thanks for your answer. Some more details, we would need an 8 port switch at least (gigabit is not necesary) and 2 of those ports should be able to power a 9971 phone with a camera insered and a VXC 2111 attached (thin client).

All of this should be powered by POE.

I guess there should be small platform capable for it but I'm not familiar with those so will let other experts to advise.
