Hello Cisco Support ForumTeam!
Can a pair of Cisco ASA in Transparent mode allow the formation of a Port-cannel between two Cisco Catalyst 4500X in VSS?
The ASA is configured in active/standby and is located between the two VSS switches (Core and Distribution layer switches).
How the ports need to be configured on the switches side for the firewall interfaces; trunk or switchport?
If anyone done it before, please share.
Thanks in advanced for your support guys!
Regards.

Hi,
What version of IOS are you running on the ASAs?
see table-12-3 in this link:
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/asa/asa84/configuration/guide/asa_84_cli_config/interface_start.html
Also, since the 4500x are in VSS mode, you need to bundle one link from each switch and use LACP.
