Port Priority

Hi.

How can I to configure one port priority in my switch 2950 or 2960? (Without create QoS and vlans) I want that a specific port of switch send data first by uplink!

Thanks

Well, I'm afraid the way to do this is to use the QoS tools.

- Mark the packets you receive from the port in question with a particular CoS value, say 6 or 7. mls qos cos 6

- Enable WRR queueing with an expedite queue, say, wrr-queue bandwidth 10 10 10 0. This will make queue 4 an expedite queue, which gives it absolute priority. It is where the CoS 6 and 7 packets will go.

Hi.

But i want priority to send only (and just in one switch). To receive it's not necessary. Anything like "switchport priority ..." That create maybe a tag in the frame to switch understand and see the port like priority.
