port-security port status secure-shutdown?

Hi,

does anyone know why the port-security port status is still secure-shutdown even the port was recovered from err-disabled and nothing is connected to this port?

Andre,

Please paste the output of " show interface fa x/y " from your switch. Also paste the " show run interface fa x/y ", where fa xy is the port in question. This could be due do the port is in "shutdown" state. Please do a " no shut " under the interface and check the status.

i've recovered the port with "no shut" , nothing is connected to the port, port status is down not "administrative down"
