I have a situation were we have 7 mobile carts that move around the campus. We have setup locations for the carts to dock and attach to the network. These ports always need to be active. I would like to use port security to allow only these 7 mac address to access the switch ports. Problem is that some wall jacks go to the same switch and the same mac address will need to be allowed on the same switch but different ports. Is this a configurable solution? The switches will not allow me to configure a port allowing the same mac address on different port.

port-security won't be the solution if you need to input the same mac-addresses on different switchports, perhaps 802.1x could help? http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/catalyst3560/software/release/12.2_46_se/configuration/guide/sw8021x.html
