Hello
on 4500 catalyst switch I get error on two ports.
show int gigabitEthernet 4/22
GigabitEthernet4/22 is down, line protocol is down (notconnect)
show int gigabitEthernet 4/13
GigabitEthernet4/13 is up, line protocol is up (faulty)
rest all ports are working.
I changed and tested all speed and duplex options. ( tested Speed 10, 100, auto as well )
I changed the cable ( checked with Cat 5 and Cat 6 cables )
I changed laptops to check the ports 4/22 and 4.13
Changed the ports settings to default
shut / no shut
Any Help !!!
Thanks
Saquib

Hello Saquib,
as TJ has noted the linecard is flagged faulty meaning that is not considered fully operational
attempt to extract and to insert it again in a maintanance window
Hope to help

Has this issue about 3 weeks ago. Pull and reset the blade in the chassis, then call TAC to get a new blade as it will go faulty again, but who knows when.
Thanks,

Hello Saquib,
post sh module and sh ver | inc image
I would consider to do what TJ has suggested to reseat the linecard.
Also checking the linecard test results at power on can be a wise step
Hope to help
