We have a nexus 5k, and it kind of got hung today... it is running   version 5.1(3)N2(1b)..

the reset reason shows :

Power down due to temperature sensor policy trigger

It doesnt look documented. Can anyone confirm what policy is it referring to? not sure if this is an IOS bug ?

Hi

Can you please check "sh env temp" on your n5k - looks like temperature went too high and switch was powered down.

You usually need to power it manually after such event.

This is a safety measure which ensures that electronic components of the switch won't be damaged due to overheating.

also check "show log nvram" . It should show the sensor alarms and message to countdown system shutdown.
