problem enable ssh switch C4500X16FP

I need help on switch since it does not allow to configure ssh

did you configure your hostname, domain-name and generated crypto key for SSH and then enaled SSH?

What response do you get it you do

crypto ?

Does the file name for the image include "k9"? K9 indicates that the image does have support for crypto and this is a requirement for SSH. Perhaps you could post the output of show version which would allow us to see the file name.

Hi,

Your software (cat4500e-UNIVERSAL-M) does not allow you to configure SSH, for the same reason Rick described.

Rick is correct (as always). The IOS file does not support crypto. Download the crypto-enabled file, look for a filename with "k9", and load it into the appliance.
