Re: Problem in show ip route?

The Serial interface is not up/up, it sees a physical connection but no protocol.

The connected address will only be in the routing table if interface and line protocol are both up.. This is a PPP encapsulated interface and it appears possible the other end of the PPP link isn't uup or configured properly.

Re: Problem in show ip route?

Now I understand. Thanks for the answer. :)

May I know what are the other factor of going down of the line protocol (Line protocol is down)? Can you give me an other scenarios or examples?

Thanks in advance..

Re: Problem in show ip route?

There are many scenarios. I use a mostly HDLC encapsulated serial interfaces on leased T-1 circuits, a reason line protocol could be down might include the telco provider having some of its switch gear down or not working right.

Here's the Cisco direction for PPP interfaces.
