problem with switch 3960G sfp fiber

salam

i have two switches 3960G and i try to make uplink with them by using sfp fiber but they didenot connect

all thing work right and i checked it "fiber link , pach cord fiber ,swiches "

only sfp link not work

some one tell me my  it disabeled by default

note : the switches are new and it is first time to work and no previous configuration

Hi,

Please post both end interface configs (fiber ports). Also, make sure switch recognises the gbic. Do 'Show inter xx' it should tell you the gbic.

On both switches, can you please post the output to the following commands:

1.  sh version;

2.  sh logs;

3.  sh interface status

Are you sure of that model type? I can't find any switch with the model 3960G - are you sure they're not 2960G?

Anyway, have you tried the command "media-type sfp" on the ports you're using for the fibre link?
