Procurve <> CIsco Trunk connectivity

Hello ,

We have existing network in which CIsco 6513 is core switch and access swicth is Cisco Express 500 , we are replacing the Cisco 500 with HP Procurve switch as new access switch . I have put below configration on both sides . Will be great if any one can share thoughts before I plan for migration .

Note: there is only 1 vlan which is vlan 900 that is required to travel .

6513Core Switch Trunk port Config

interface GigabitEthernet3/34

description *** Connects to HP Procurve ***

switchport

switchport trunk allowed vlan 900

switchport mode trunk

no ip address

speed 100

duplex full

end

HP Procurve Configration

vlan 900

   name "connects to 6513 3/34"

   untagged 1-48

   ip address 10.101.x.x 255.255.255.0

   tagged 49

   exit

interface 49

   speed-duplex 100-full

Thanks for help

Regards

Amit

my last ProCurve configuration is already something back, but your configuration looks good.

interface 1-48 is untagged (it's like "switchport access vlan 900) and interface 49 will tag packets for vlan 900.

So your configuration should work fine.
