public ips routing

hi all.

i attached a figure that simply explain the network in my university..

as you can see most of the IPs are assigned by DHCP and passed through the firewalls to the internet.

the problem is that there are some public IPs we have and need to let them goes directly to the router.

what is the best solution here ??

Re: public ips routing

computers with public IP should be protected by firewall. you can use your ISA by adding a new NIC (DMZ).

i suppose you have many public IP, you must devide them to 2 subnets. one subnet will contain the IPs of the router and isa external interface.(so the mask will be 255.255.255.252) the second group will contain the remaining IPs (you must find the correct mask)
