Hi all, when applying qos to my phones on my lan, i want to manually apply qos to the voip vlan, so in this case do I create a policy for the phones, then on the uplink ports do I simply create a trust port ?
Generally you should trust/mark at the edge. If you have Cisco phones they are already marking traffic, therefore just trust these access ports. If you have a strong global policy and have marked/trusted at all you access switches, you can go ahead and trust all your uplink interfaces on your distribution switches. The key here is to either trust, untrust or mark on all your access ports.
Hi everyone, I would like to thank you in advance for any help you can provide a newcomer like myself!
