QoS for access ports

Gents,

How to implement the following design. I would like to guaranty 5% of bandwith of uplink on access switch for each access port. If we don't have congestion, bandwith is not limited on access port.

How do it ?

Could you pls give the example of this QoS policy ?

My hardware is c2960, 24 10/100 access ports, 1Gb uplink. Distribution level is c3750G.

Thanks.

Re: QoS for access ports

Hi

Switch by default has only four output queues and we can only play around with that and in case of a Access-switch , AFAIK Qos of your requirement is not possible.

And in your 3750 switch , you can split your access-group to 4 groups and allocate diff bandwidth for them.

Hope this helps

Re: QoS for access ports

Can LLQ policy be used on c3750?

Or it can be only xRED?

Re: QoS for access ports

You cannot use LLQ as you use in a router , but one of the four queue , I think queue3 can be made as a priority Queue .

Hope this helps
