Hi
im having problem with my QoS speed limit on my 3750 g12. Im trying to limit the speed on a port to 2mbit up and download with the following :
policy-map max2M
class allip
police 2000000 312500 exceed-action drop
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/2
srr-queue bandwidth shape 500 0 0 0
service-policy input max2M
I have tryed to enable and disable this command on the interface :
priority-queue out
but i still get full speed on my download (from the client)
I know that the following is working but then i have to force the interface to 10mbit, NOT good :
speed 10
srr-queue bandwidth limit 20
Hope any one can help me here ?!?

Hi Martin,
Whether this gig1/0/2 is uplink port of the switch or you connected your client on which your downloading from your server.....
Simillarly the policing is for the interface and also restrict your specified limit in case of only congension on that interface. Until the congension occurs, it will allow traffic upto the available b/w.
Rate if it does,
Rgs.

Hi,
your saying ? :-)
the port is connecting a client, yes.
I want to limit the speed on that port only, to 2mbit up and down, and not the uplink port to our core.

Try this.
Change to police 2000000 16000 exceed-action drop
Change both sides to 100 megabit
srr-queue bandwidth shape 50 0 0 0
I'm not a qos expert but I did similiar.

hmm ... how is this gonna work ?
srr-queue bandwidth shape 50 0 0 0
1000 mbit / 50 = 20mbit

I think you get the equation for bandwidth shape is
1/# = bandwidth result
So for a 100 megabit connection, 1/50 = 2 megabit
Maybe my config was different then yours, I dont remember.
