Query on vPC across Nexus 5010 and Nexus 5548 UP

Hi,

I have pair of 6120XP Fabric Interconnects in one UCS domain and one set of 6248UP fabric interconnects in the second UCS domain.

I have one Nexus 5010 upstream switch and one 5548UP upstream switch.

UCS blades running ESXi5.

Goal is to acheive redundancy and load balancing.

I'm planning to connect these as below.

FEX-A to 5010,  2 uplinks say 1a,1b

FEX-A to 5548UP, 2 uplinks  say 2a,2b

FEX-B to 5010,  2 uplinks say 3a,3b

FEX-B to 5548UP, 2 uplinks  say 4a,4b

vPC1 from FEX-A via 1a,2a

vPC2 from FEX-A via 1b,2b

vPC3 from FEX-B via 3a,4a

vPC4 from FEX-B via 3b,4b

vPC1 and vPC3 carrying VM data traffic. Basically to eliminate FEX, Nexus as SPOF and to load balance across all uplinks.

vPC2 and vPC4 carrying NFS datastore traffic. Same as above and to have dedicated BW for NFS datastore traffic.

Each host will have 2 vNIC's pinned vPC1 and vPC3 respectively and connected to vSwitch to serve VM traffic with NIC teaming across these 2 vNIC's in vSwitch.

Each host will have 2 vNIC's pinned vPC2 and vPC4 respectively and connected to vSwitch to carry NFS datastore traffic with NIC teaming across these 2 vNIC's in vSwitch.

I also need to establish similar setup from other pair of FEX to the same upstream Nexus switches.

This is being considered to avoid FEX,Nexus switch, uplinks as SPOF's and to load balance across all 8 uplinks via both FEXes.

My questions are

1. Can we setup vPC from FEX 6120XP/6248UP to 5010/5548UP?

2. Is there a limitation on number of vPC's that can be created across the Nexus switches?

3. Is there any better option if this is not a recommended or best way?

Thanks in Advance.
