Question on RARP on L3

Hi,

This is how I want my network to be,

Cluster1

--------

Sun box --> |

Sun Box --> | L2 --->

Sun box --> |

Cluster 2 L3 (same cisco for all L3) ---> router

----------

Sun Box -->

Sun box --> L2 ----->

Sun box -->

Clsuter 3

--------

Install server --> L2 (in MGT network) --> cisco L3 (same cisco as above)

Cluster 1 & 2 will be connected to L2 switch, and these L2 switches will be connected to L3 (cisco 3750) switch.

In these clusters, we have three VLANs each,

1. MGT

2. Signaling

3. Billing

I have an install server, which is in MGT network. All sun boxes have 1 interface in MGT interface, but in order to reach install server, it has to talk to Cisco.

Now here is how the install server works.

When i boot up these sun boxes, it will send RARP messages, L2 will pass it to cisco, but L3 will not send RARP message? (even if its in the same VLAN?)

Kindly help on how I can proceed.

Thanks,

Sylvester
