Quick IP question

Hi Could somebody please let me know if the following is true. I just need to confirm my own checks.

given an ip address of 192.168.1.15 and a subnet mask of 255.255.254.0, is 192.168.0.15 on the same subnet?

Many Thanks

Dan

Re: Quick IP question

Hi Dan,

Yes. You are correct in your understanding.

Your subnet range is 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.254. All hosts in this range fall in the subnet 192.168.0.0/23
