Dear All
I have a 4500 Switch with Two WS-X45-SUP7-E Supervisor Engines with IOS version:
cat4500e-universalk9.SPA.03.02.02.SG.150-2.SG2.bin
We keep receiving the below LOGs non-stop.
002777: 002404: .Mar 4 05:56:17.840 DST: %PM-4-PORT_CONSISTENT: STANDBY:Port Gi4/28 consistency has been restored, IDB state: down.
002778: 002405: .Mar 4 05:56:31.840 DST: %PM-4-PORT_INCONSISTENT: STANDBY:Port Gi4/28 is inconsistent: IDB state up (set 00:00:03 ago), link: down (6w1d ago), admin: up (6w1d ago).
002779: 002406: .Mar 4 06:36:36.927 DST: %PM-4-PORT_CONSISTENT: STANDBY:Port Gi2/46 consistency has been restored, IDB state: down.
002780: 002407: .Mar 4 06:36:47.928 DST: %PM-4-PORT_INCONSISTENT: STANDBY:Port Gi2/46 is inconsistent: IDB state up (set 00:00:03 ago), link: down (6w2d ago), admin: up (6w2d ago).
In the LOG descriptions, i found the following explanation, but i need to know the reason WHY this log is being generated.
Error Message PM-4-PORT_CONSISTENT:Port [char] consistency has been restored
Explanation The port manager on the standby supervisor engine discovered that the port state became consistent again.
Recommended Action This is an informational message only. No action is required.
Error Message PM-4-PORT_INCONSISTENT: Port [char] is inconsistent: IDB state [char] (set %TE ago)
Explanation The port manager on the standby supervisor engine discovered that the port state was inconsistent for more that one second. Inconsistent ports are reactivated on switchover (you will see the PORT_BOUNCED message).
Recommended Action This is an informational message only. No action is required.
Has anyone faced the same Logs? Any idea about what could be the reason that is generating these Logs?
Best regards,
Georges

Is there anything attached to those 2 ports ?

Hello
There are normal users connected to them.
We tried to switch user's ports and change cables, but the logs kept appearing from the same Ports --> So it's not a Cable or user PC issue.
Thanks for your help
Best regards,
Georges

Hello,
DO you mean that ports still showing those errors with nothing connected to it?
I did not see any open DDTS in this version for same problem. Also as you removed the connected devices we are rulling out their affect on it. Messages as I see coming from STandby SUP only so there is seemd to be some issue in sycnh between active and standby.
Can you consider to reload standby SUP enabling complete deiag for bootup before it (diagn bootup level complete)?
