i see a lot of brodcast

plz examine the following output:

5 minute ouxtput rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec

1272938157 packets input, 3717052866 bytes, 0 no buffer

Received 1263578945 broadcasts, 0 runts, 0 giants, 0 throttles

what is the problem here?why i have a this huge brodcast:how can i overcome?

It depends on when your counters were last reset. Reset your counters and monitor it to see how fast you are getting these broadcasts.

enter command

clear counters (your interface)

eg:

clear counters gi0/0

will clear all traffic stuffs related to that

interface alone

if you put clear counters alone

will clear for all interfaces
