Recording Internal Calls over Spanned Switch Port

Hi,

We want to record internal ip phone calls. We have call manager express and a linux server which records calls. Now we only monitor the cme router with port spanning and can record outside calls. But if we want to record internal calls I think we have to span all the ip phone ports on the switch. Is that right?

Another question is how to span with two switches. I mean the server is on the other switch with the ip phones. How can I span these ports on the other switch?

I'm not sure about the first part of your question.

But for the second part you can configure remote span.
