Recovering from VTP updates

Is there a way to recover from a switch being brought online inadvertently, which was configured as vtp server with a higher revision number, and incorrect vlan configurations? The switch updated the existing online switches.

Sadly - no.

You need to remove the offending switch, then re-update the proper VTP server.

Thanks, that's what I suspected would need to be done.

Do you have a backup config from your normal vtp servers ? You would also have to have a backup of your vlan.dat files from the servers to recover . Otherwise its probably a manual recovery on your main vtp servers once you pull off the offending switch that made the change or change it to transparent and back.
