Re: Redundant sup 720 is in disabled state.

As the Sup is in rommon that's why it is stated as disabled for redundnecy. To take it, first check whether you are in SUP rommon or the MSFC rommon.We have to also check why the sup is in rommon, is it some software issue.

Please try the following steps:

1:Connect the console to the sup and reload it.

2.The moment you see that it is booting, press CTRL+Break and try to break into Sup's rommon.

3.Once you rae in rommon, Check "dir bootflash:" and see if the file is located there.

4.If the file is not there, then this the the problem and that's why the sup is in rommon.Then try to Xmodem the file or if you have a PCMICA slot then try to boot is from there.

5.If file is there, then do the following:

This will command will let us know the bootpath for the sup.If he boot path is not there then do the following

rommon> BOOT:=sup-bootflash:

rommon> Sync

Check the bootpath again

6. If the bootpath is there, then try to boot the sup manaually

boot sup-bootflash:

7 Once the sup is back the config files will get sync up and it should be Ok after that.

Let us know your findings after this and then we will take if from there.

This should be a "Forum Sticky Post" along with the "Magic Number" :-)
