Redundant Supervisor IV Catatlyst 4507R

Hi All,

When we connect a new supervisor IV to our Catalyst 4507R (IOS) the led shows green. But via console cable it stays in ROMMON Mode.

When we connected earlier the supervisor to an other chassis to place a new ios on it (IOS cat4000-i5s-mz.122-25.EWA5). It worked ok.

Any idea on this one?

Hi Jorg,

If currently it is in rommon I believe it could be issue with boot path or may be corrupted IOS image.

I understand that this same sup booted fine on other chasis , so can you try giving a manual boot command and make it up and then check the file name in bootflash and file name set in bootvar and make sure it is exactly matching.
