Replacing Cat3750s with Nexus 3524s

Hi,

We have a stack of 3 3750s in our data center.

We are virtualizing a truckload of hardware and our new storage solution need 10G switches so we are thinking of getting a couple of 3524s

Ideally we would be able to replace the 3750 and consolidate everything on to those 3524s.

The 3750s are currently providing:

VRFs

VLANS

Port Channels

QOS for VOIP

OSPF

stactic mac entries for NLB in vmware.

Unfortunately I dont have a switch I can test on before buying. Can anyone point to me where I can validate that these features are supported on the Nexus 3524s ?

Thanks

Drew

Hi,

For VRF and full OSPFv2(not limited to 256 routes) you'll need LAN Enterprise licence.

Port-channels on Nexus only use LACP not PaGP and can be set to ON also.

They support VLANs and static mac entries and Qos
