Hi All,
I have a 4948 running PIM and this is connected to a 3560 Layer 2. As the 4948 sends out PIM Hello messages the 3560 marks it as a DR and sends all it’s multicasts to the 4948. Can anyone help on how I stop the hello message getting to the 3650 so the multicasts are not flooded to the 4948??
Is this even possible? The 3560 can't be changed to L3
Many thanks

I would suggest you to transfer this post from NMS to lan-switching/Routing community from options available. Here is link to community :

It would gather more views from Switching and Routing experts for faster resolution.
-Thanks
