Hi @ all
I think,it is a easy question.
Is it possible to start a reverse telnet session over the aux port from a Cisco 2821 Router to a Console Port from a Non-Cisco Device (for Example a Lantronix Console Server)???
If yes, which parameters are necessary for ths scenario?
Thank for your help!

Hi Stephan,
Yes, but you need to know the pin assignment and the appropriate baud rate.

Hi Mohammed,
the baud rate is 9600 und a normal Cisco Console Cable works on the console port of the console server.
I used an normal Cisco Console Cable and a rolled Cable for the connection between the Cisco 2821 and the Lantronix Console Server.
But it doesn't work with "telnet
This is the current config from the aux port:
interface Loopback0
ip address 192.168.1.254 255.255.255.0
!
line aux 0
modem InOut
transport input all
speed 9600
stopbits 1
!
Best regards,

Stephan,
Can you please try to add "no exec" under the line aux 0, then clear the line a couple of times and try again.
BR,
Mohammed Mahmoud.

The
modem InOut
is not required..
add
no exec
you might need to clear the line and hit return once connected.
