Hi,
I have a 2621 router and a 2651XM router. Currently, the 2651XM router is defective. Is there a way to telnet to the console of the 2651XM using reverse telnet on the 2621 on port 2065 (AUX). I connected a rollover cable from AUX of 2621 to the console port of 2651XM. Please tell me if this is possible.
John

Hi,
Yes it is, under the line aux of the 2621 add the following commands:
transport input telnet
stopbits 1
no exec
then do "telnet x.x.x.x 2065", where x.x.x.x is an active IP on the 2621.
HTH,
Mohammed Mahmoud.

Thank you very much Mohammed. I can now reverse telnet to the console. I don't know what I did wrong before. My configuration was just the same but now it is working. At least you verified that this is possible and your config helped me a lot. Thanks.
