root guard/loop guard enablement

Hi,

We are plan to implement this kind of setup

Switch 1  --- connected with core switch 1

   ||

Switch 2

    ||

Switch 3

  ||

Switch 4

    ||

Switch 5 --- Connected with Core switch 2

Nornallay, we used to put root-guard on core side & loop guard on Access Side

But for the above case, what config needs to be put in between trunk of Switch2-Switch3 like that

Can I ask why you are daisy chaining the switches like that?

Are the core switches VSS or using a First Hop Routing Protocol?

Hi,

Due to less no of uplink port availability on Core switch side

I think loopgaurd should be sufficient, as you will have rootgaurd configured on trunk interfaces of SW1 and SW5 going to Core1 and Core2 respectively.

Thanks
