Routing between 2 private ports

Looking for guidance. I have a new Dedicated Internet connection at one building connecting into an ethernet port in my 4507. I need that traffic to be sent to a dedicated ethernet port on my 6509 in another building so I can then connect it to my firewall. Where do I even start? Is this a private vlan? Can I route all traffic from port to port without affecting routing of all other vlans?

Thanks,

Jim

Re: Routing between 2 private ports

If the 4507 and 6509 connect via Layer 2, then you can configure the ethernet port connection in the 4507 as an access Vlan.

On the 6509, configure the FW connection under the same access Vlan.

Under this configuration the internet connection and FW would be in the same Layer 2 Vlan.
