RSPAN

Hey Guys,

We have an IPCC server in our data centre which is connected to our core switch. Our core switch is then connected into a router which connects back to our central site's router. They want to be able to use call monitoring and RSPAN was mentioned but I dont think we can use it as the switching domains are separated by routers. Is this correct?

You can not use RSPAN when the switching domains are seperated by the routers.

You are right in that RSPAN cannot run over a routed network. However ERSPAN can do this. Of course ERSPAN is not available on all switches -
