We have a cable modem with a dedicated IP as WAN1 and a DSL modem with a dynamic IP as WAN2.
When both WANs are enabled, we get 8 to 10 percent packet loss pinging WAN1's IP from a remote location. When WAN2 is disabled, we get no packet loss on WAN1. Sometimes, for several days running, we'll also get no packet loss on WAN1 when WAN2 is enabled.
We are certain there is no problem with WAN1. We're less certain about WAN2 as the provider does not allow us to ping the WAN2 IP from remote locations.
We have tried every balancing mode setting we can imagine. Any clues what to do?
UPDATE: DIsabling RIP seemed to resolve the problem.
