SAP drops on Cisco 3750X stack

Hi,

I have a 3750X stack with a dula  layer 3 link back to the core. There are 4 switches in the stack running Version 15.0(2)SE2

PCs using SAP frequently drop the connection  to the server in the USA. This only happens on this switch stack, i have patched in another switch with a layer 2 link back to the core and the same users have no SAP drops on this. I have upgraded the IOS, replaced the stacking cables, replaced the fibre modules, took wireshark captures and sent them to Cisco TAC.

Can anyone suggest another way to troubleshoot this?

Thanks

Upgrading your IOS to 15.0(2)SE2 might not have been the best choice.  If 15x features not needed, general consensus is 12.2(55)SE8 is the most stable.

That aside, is the SAP traffic you're dealing with an older version of SAP, if so, it's very fragile on the network, for example, it doesn't like any drops (it's not too keen on latency either).  Are any of your 3750X ports showing drops?  If so, is QoS enabled?  If so, you might consider disabling QoS or tuning buffer settings.

It is the newer version of SAP, there is no QoS on the switch. The 3750X port culprits dont show any drops. Response times from user to server are around 130ms. This only happens from this switch stack not from any other switches on the site.

This is the only switch stack at the site.

I'll second Joseph.  Except for 15.0(2)SE4, the entire 15.0(2)SE train is soooo buggy, it's place should be in the sand dunes!

If you don't need features in 15.X, then downgrade to 12.2(55)SE8, however, if you need features in 15.X then try 15.0(2)SE4.

Well then if Cisco recommends the IOS version you're using, work with them on this issue.  Do you have a TAC contract?

Easy enough.  Use 15.0(2)SE4.
