Hi all, Is it bad practice to use secondary addresses on router interfaces ?

A such there is not a disdvantage of using the secondry ip addresses on the router interface. The disadvantage that you will have using the secondry IP's is that routing protocols like EIGRP/OSPF donot make neighbor relationship on the secondry ip addresses though they support/advertise the secondry ip's.

in spite of the fact that you can use it on a router, it s not recommended to keep it over there, just use it for migration or a temporary solution, also EIGRP dont form neighborship through that secondary addresses!!
