selecting the correct ios image

Hi, we have a mix of cisco 2950, and 2960

switches. Givin the 2950, I have ios versions such as 12.1(22)EA2 and 12.1(22) EA1.

Also, the 2960's have 12.2(25)FX,12.2(25)SEE1.

For the 2960's what is the difference between the fx,see ? I could not find much from reading the releases. All the switches are the same. Can I image them all with a simular ios?

any suggestions appreciated.

Re: selecting the correct ios image

Hi Jason,

Check this URL.

This is Cisco feature navigator.

http://tools.cisco.com/ITDIT/CFN/jsp/index.jsp

Here you can compare 2 diferent releases for feature differences as well.

Click on the "Compare images"

So can I upgrade a switch that has 12.2.25-fx(ED) to 12.2.44-SE(ed)?

Re: selecting the correct ios image

Hi Jason,

You can upgrade it but you need a special partner relationship with Cisco and have a password to download software upgrades.

Here is the link for the partnership program:
