SFP and Integrated Fiber ports Compatibility

HI all,

I currently have WS-C2950SX-24 and we are migrating to WS-C2960-24TC-S a recomended replacement from Cisco in its EOL/EOS notification. The migration is in three phases where in first phase we only eliminate 20 switches whereas the remaining 80 will work as previous. Here in 2950-SX we have two integrated sx ports where 2960 we have sfp ports. I have done my research and found that GLC-SX-MM is the right replacement (Thats my perspective) but the connecting patch cords for fiber i was using is not compatible with GLC-SX-MM. Kindly suggest whether its a compatibility issue or if i can change the patch cords it will work for me.

(Briefly, keep the 2950 connector type on one end and replace the other end connector type with the one compatible with GLC-SX-MM ??????)

GLC-SX-MM = 1000BASE-SX SFP transceiver module for MMF, 850-nm wavelength

Use this table in order to match up the part number with the type of connector and cable used for WS-C2950SX-24.
